Microsoft have done it again with the release of the new xbox 360 slim with a massive 250gb.
It looks like the xbox will dominate the rest of 2010 and build-up towards Christmas especially with the release of the xbox 360 kinect.

This is the facelift that all xbox fans have been waiting for, the new xbox 360 slim or xbox 360 250gb as it's offically known, not only looks even sexier but it is also packed to the brim with some great features.

So the question you must be asking is what's new about the xbox 360 slim, well let's find out.
Starting off with the design, the design is the first thing you will notice, the new xbox 360 slim has a stunning black gloss finish which really does give the xbox an expensive look. You will also notice huge vents on each side of the casing and a large fan hiding on the right hand side.

One of the biggest moan's that xbox 360 owners had was the noise issue, there was no getting away from the fact that the xbox 360 was very noisy, as soon as you turned it on, it sounded like a giant generator rumbling in the room, the good news is that the new xbox 360 slim 250gb is so quite that it's hard to tell if the machine is even turned on most of the time.

Now as the name suggests another new feature of this xbox is that it now comes with a whopping 250gb hard drive.
The new 250gb hard drive is now encapsulated inside the bottom of the unit rather than sitting on the top, hiding under a vent.
The HDD comes out with a pop and looks nothing like the current hard drives, meaning they're certainly not interchangeable with the old xbox 360 models.
But all is not lost, if you are a current xbox 360 owner and want to transfer data from your old xbox to the new slim version you can use the microsoft data transfer cables, which enables you to connect your old-style hard drive via USB to the new console, which makes migration pretty painless. Microsoft also added the ability to store information to USB thumb drives as well, which gives another means for transferring your precious datas.

Also new is an integrated xbox 360 kinect connector on the back, something we're told will be provided on older Xbox 360's via a Y-cable. USB port count is up to five (from three), the optical audio connector is onboard the console, instead of on the A/V connector.

The buttons on the new xbox 360 slim have also changed and have followed the lead of sony with the slimmed down ps3, the xbox 360 slim now features touch sensitive buttons.

The biggest upgrade on the xbox 360 comes on the connectivity front and the xbox 360 250gb now has 802.11n Wi-Fi built-in for a faster and easier connection to Xbox LIVE. Stream HD movies and TV or download games from Xbox LIVE in 1080p and 5.1 surround sound from anywhere in the house.
